Abbott Pre-School Program ( for  3 & 4  year old children ):

 Available at (site 1 & 2)

- For children who are residents of  Paterson and reach

 the age  of 3 or 4 by October 31.- 6 1/2 hours of preschool instruction and program: 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. 

 

Program Highlights:

   - High quality preschool program

  - Child-Centered  experience in: Language Arts, Math, Science Experiments, Cutting &  Pasting, Music, Coloring & painting

  - Directors work closely with the Paterson Public School's Department of Early childhood education to ensure a strong curriculum

   - Curriculum aligned activities necessary for a successful kindergarten experience

   - Class size of 15 pupils or less with one teacher and one teacher assistant.

         The following are needed upon registration:

  - Child must be present

  - Child's Immunization records

  - Parent \ Guardian's Proof of residence (utility bill, driver's license)

  - Child's birth certificate, if a birth certificate is not available a child's social  security card,

    passport or alien registration card will be acceptable            

 

Admissions & Fees

Children of parents who are working more than 30 hours per week, or are enrolled in school programs for over 30 hours per week, will be accepted at the nursery, regardless of race, color, creed, sex or national origin. A child must be two years of age.

Families who meet block grant guidelines will pay a fee according to income and family size, provided that a space is available in the program, Families who do not meet block grant guidelines will pay a fee determined by the board of managers, Proof of family income is necessary. Weekly fees are paid every Monday morning for the coming week.
