CHILD'S SKILL DEVELOPMENT

MEALS, HEALTH & SAFETY

Healthy and nutritious meals are freshly prepared by our cooks each day. The menu is changed on a  daily basis.

The nursery provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack during the day, Our meals are planned according to USDA standards and guidelines.

Health

We care about our children's health and well being to the fullest extent, If your child becomes ill, please inform us and  do not bring your child to the Nursery until they get rid of their illness and fully recover.  If your child becomes ill during the school day, we will contact you. If we are unable to contact you, we will contact the 'authorized people' on the Enrolment Form. If they are not available, a senior member of Nursery Staff will act to get proper the physician or hospital involved.

Safety

We consider Safety a very serious issue. All our toys and equipment are regularly checked and conform to  U.S. safety standards.

The following services are provided in coordination with outside organizations:

Dental Program

A dental hygienist instructs children on proper cleaning and maintenance of teeth.

Early intervention program

Children identified as needing specialized care are assisted either by the Pediatric Dept. of St. Joseph hospital and/or the early intervention unit of Paterson public schools.

Lead testing

Conducted annually by the Paterson board of health.

Speech therapy

Twice weekly a speech therapist provides evaluation and therapy.
